  The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's fraternal benefit society that was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.

  Catholic Family Ministries began with the Leblancs, Beiers, & MacDonells' "desire to evangelize families . . . to make sure that we teach the kids our faith and they grow up knowing the Catholic Church.." LeBlanc would always say, "We need to tell people how wonderful our faith is and they need to know that." His vision was that families learn more about their faith and go back to their parishes and spread this faith. Catholic Family Ministries launched an annual Catholic Family Life Conference at Lac Ste. Anne, a haven for families raising their children in a secular world, which increasingly questions traditional family values. It was also a place far from the commonly accepted vision of a 2.5-children household. and now is supplemented with annual conferences for Men of Integrity, Women of Dignity and Married couples.

  Constables Jim Amsing, Gerard Brand, Sean Lynn and Dave Whitty are four guys on fire for the Kingdom of God and for the family. They are officers on the police force in the city of Calgary, Alberta and they are living proof that extraordinary things can be done when ordinary people say yes to God.....

  Among those plans was the formation of the Queen of Peace Society, whereby they have begun to sponsor (using their own money) various Catholic conferences and speakers in the province of Alberta. The spark for this ministry came at the 1997 St. Joseph’s Covenant Keepers Conference in Edmonton, Alberta. "We were galvanized by the ministry of Steve Wood and Jeff Cavins," says Officer Amsing. At the end of the conference they declared, "We're going to do this in Calgary next year!"
